Sports Alerts ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address used for authentication. If you sign in with Apple, we receive only the information you choose to share.
• Player & Team Preferences: The players and teams you follow, alert settings, and notification preferences are stored to deliver personalized alerts.
• Device Token: Your Apple Push Notification token is stored to send you alerts. It is removed when you sign out.
• Fantasy League Data: If you connect Yahoo, ESPN, CBS, or Underdog accounts, we import your roster data to sync followed players. We do not store your fantasy platform passwords.

How We Use Your Information

• To send push notifications about MLB games, player events, lineups, and prospect call-ups based on your preferences.
• To sync your settings across devices.
• To improve the app experience.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security to ensure each user can only access their own data.

Third-Party Services

• MLB Stats API: We fetch publicly available game data, scores, and rosters.
• Apple Push Notification Service: Used to deliver notifications to your device.
• Supabase: Cloud database and authentication provider.
• xAI (Grok): Used to analyze tweets for prospect call-up detection. Tweet text is sent to xAI for analysis but is not stored by them beyond processing.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with service providers as described above to operate the app.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes all your data including followed players, teams, alert rules, and device tokens.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
